Audi,
the German luxury car manufacturer announced today the opening of a
new showroom in Hyderabad. After
the opening of the Audi Gurgaon showroom, Hyderabad is next in row of
the Auto dealer expansion plan, the number of which is going to be
increased to ten exclusive Audi showrooms by the end of this year.
The Audi Hyderabad showroom is spread over an area of 5,500
square feet and has a total strength of 21 employees at present.

expected to launch its new import A4 model in India this July. The
company is looking at offering CKD (complete knock down) version
price for the new model car.
Audi India is a
subsidiary of the German luxury carmaker, Audi. The price of the new
imported A4 models will be the same as the CKD version to avoid
having different prices for the same model. The company will start
assembling it at its Aurangabad plant, later this year.

To leverage the growth happening in
the luxury car segment in India, Germany luxury car maker Audi is
planning to focus on enhancing the dealership network, investing more
on training the workforce, improve the range of products besides
working on the local assembly line in Aurangabad which went
operational recently.
Speaking after the inauguration of a dealership showroom in the
city, Benoit Tiers, managing director of Audi India said, the idea is
to have a dealership outlet in every city. Right now, Audi cars are
available in dealerships in New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore,
Chandigarh, Gurgaon and now in Hyderabad. Plans are on to have
dealerships at Chennai and Cochin as well.

Nearly three
years after it announced that it would commence selling the TT and A8
luxury cars in India, Audi has confirmed that it will deepen its
involvement in India with the establishment of a CKD plant at
Aurangabad, Maharashtra. So far, the company has only offered its
luxury cars as imports. This will now change as the company intends
to start off series production of the Audi A6 in the Completely
Knocked Down kit (CKD) form. The new facility would be located on
Skoda Auto's premises both of which are a part of the Volkswagen
group.
