Toyota Innova Facelift expected during Diwali
Toyota has been working on a facelift for their popular MPV, the Toyota Innova. It has been the best selling MPV in the country for the longest period and has been around for over a decade in the Indian car market.
The new Innova brings oodles of chrome to the front and adds a bit of freshness to the existing design. It also brings more pronounced grille and chrome tipped fog lamps.
It is expected to go on sale during Diwali, which is when most buyers are expected to pick up new cars in the country. It will be a 2.0 liter petrol engine with 130 bhp while the diesel engine will continue in its current avatar which is a 2.5 liter engine that churns out 103 bhp.
Even though the current market scenario is sluggish Toyota might be forced to increase the prices of the Innova akin to the price hike for Fortuner and Camry Hybrid owing to the decline in the value of the Indian rupee. Innova has been a best seller in the segment and we expect the new one to follow suit.
The new Innova is expected to bring improved interiors along with more features. It will retain the comfortable seats and best in class interiors. The luxurious feel of its interiors and solid reliability in varying terrains has been one of the factors for driving its sales over the past few years.
Toyota Innova has been around since 2005 and it has been raking in sales figures consistently. This is one of the most favored multi utility vehicles in the market and also one of the most popular. It is known for its fuel efficient engine which offers very good performance. The 2.5 liter D4D diesel engine produces 103 bhp and provides excellent drivability in the city and has ample performance for the Indian highways.
The suspension copes up with any kind of terrain and undulations on road and provides a smooth driving experience. It has a comfortable ride quality and the body roll is well controlled. There is some amount of pitching but it provides a reassuring driving experience over long distances. It has excellent turning radius which makes it easy to maneuver in city traffic and parking conditions. Innova is known for carrying people over long distances comfortably and the latest iteration of the same is expected to continue its legacy and provide excellent value for money as it has been doing for almost a decade in the Indian car market.
