Renault finally came up the petrol version of its premium hatchback Pulse. Initially hatchback was launched with 1.5 liter, K9K engine which translated into a premium base price tag for the hatchback resulting in sales which werent really hot – Renault sold only 412 units of the Pulse in April. Its own sibling, the Micra managed 1435! However now the company has launched the car with the 3 cylinder, 1198 cc, DOHC, 12-valve petrol engine with a hope of capturing a bigger market share.
Speaking on the occasion Marc NASSIF, Managing Director, Renault India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Pulse is a mass market product for India, designed and developed at our design studio in Mumbai, has always been an important product for Renault India. We are highly pleased with the product’s performance and it has been well accepted by the Indian customers. The new PULSE petrol is a product launched for our Indian customers and it will help Renault to broaden its customer base and cater to customers who are looking for a comfortable premium hatch with a competitive price tag .”
The petrol variant of Pulse will have three trims; RxE, RxL and RxZ and the top of the line variant will offer features like dual airbags, ABS, EBD, start/stop button, automatic climate control, keyless entry and much more. The RxL variant is loaded with driver airbag, power steering, power windows, central lock, AC and Audio system while the base version is launched with driver airbag, power steering, AC etc.
Pulse petrol is available in many exciting colors namely; Pearl White, Metallic Red, Solid Black, Metallic Silver, Metallic Grey and Champagne Gold color. Like all other Nissan products, Renault Pulse comes with 2+2 years /80,000 km warranty which and includes services like Concierge Servies, 24X7 roadside assistance, Navigation assistance etc.
Price starts from Rs. 425,000 for RxE, Rs. 499,000 for RxL and RxZ variant is available for Rs. 555,000 (ex-showroo, Delhi)
