Maruti Suzuki Alto/ M800 replacement scooped!

Maruti-Alto-800-replacement

Here is what the whole of India has been waiting for, well almost. The first clear images of the possible replacement for the Maruti Suzuki Alto has been scooped by our friends at OnCars.in. There has been a buzz going about the Suzuki Cervo replacing our gold old friend; the M800. However, we might see the car featured here taking its place instead.

Meanwhile, the car spotted by our eagle-eyed fellows bears all the necessary design cues to be classified as a Maruti Suzuki product. The car looks like an evolution of the Alto and A-Star. The roof is raked towards the rear. The front has been chiseled with neat lines on the bumper and the bonnet. From the sides, the car has the profile of the A-Star, although it looks a tad bit larger. The headlights resemble that on the Ford Figo. That said, overall the design looks fresh and definitely a far cry from the dated design of the M800.

Towards the rear, the boot lid resembles that of the Hyundai i10 with pretty similar tail lamp design found on the Korean hatchback. That said, the entry-level Maruti will take on the Eon from the Hyundai stable. This car is to replace a product that has seen countless seasons and living up to the expectations of more than a billion Indians would be tough ask. That said, considering the amount enthusiasm among the average Indian customer this car should be a hit. Finally, I would like you- our readers to share your first impressions.
