KTM unveils the Duke 390, next month launch

Indian bike scenario got ecstatic with the entry of KTM in the market. With the launch of Duke 200, KTM’s entry in Indian market with the partners Bajaj escalated the Indian bike scenario pretty quickly and now, the Austrian brand is ready with their next offering for India, the Duke 390.

The Duke 390 will be powered by a 373.2cc liquid cooled, single cylinder engine producing 43 Bhp of maximum power peaking at 9250 rpm and 35 Nm of torque at 7250 rpm transmitted through a 6-speed manual gearbox. The liquid-cooled engine will be fed by advanced fuel injection system. The 390 Duke will share the basic structure with the recently developed Duke 200, which will include the same light-weight chassis, swing-arm sharing the basic design, suspension, and overall look and feel of the bike.

The KTM 390 might inspire the next bigger generation Pulsar in the same way the Duke200 inspired the Pulsar 200NS. The next generation of the Pulsar might be based on the same engine architecture and basic fundamentals as of the KTM390. The naked Duke 390 when launched in India will be in its own different class with no other naked bike in the same displacement  category will be present to challenge the bike. KTM Duke390 will be priced somewhere around Rs. Rs. 2.5 lac in India.
