Hero MotoCorp is arming itself with an entire range of updated models and the festive season turned out a very fruitful month for the company. Hero MotoCorp’s sales surged past the magical 6 lakh units mark in October 2013, a hitherto unattained figure by any two wheeler maker in the world!
The world’s largest two-wheeler maker (in terms of volume) has done it again by dispatching a whopping 6,25,420 units last month which is a 18.7% growth (5,29,215 units) compared to the same period last year.
Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Anil Dua, Sr. Vice-President (Marketing & Sales), Hero MotoCorp said, “Our October story has been about setting New Milestones. While we exceeded our best-ever dispatch sales for any month by a huge margin, at the same time, our retail sales – which is a real barometer of customer response – has also set a new record. We have retailed over 6.5 lakh two-wheelers in the domestic market in the month of October, with a healthy double-digit growth month-on-month. This sales momentum has been helped by our star brands Splendor and Passion and also by the new products. Our recently-introduced five-year warranty and our brand campaigns have also created customer preference for the Hero two-wheelers.”

He added that the company had anticipated a sales surge during Dhanteras and Diwali season and had ensure that all its facilities were working at full capacities.
With as many as 15 new models lined up for a phased launch, Hero is hoping to retain the momentum and extend its market leadership even further.
