Force One SUV launched in India

Force Motors has finally launched its first proper luxury vehicle for the masses in the form of the “One” SUV. To be sold initially as only one variant, the Force One has been priced at Rs 10.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is currently be available in a 4×2 version without ABS or air-bags! This is a seven seater SUV and is powered by a Diamler sourced 2.2-litre diesel engine that puts out 141Bhp of power and 315Nm of torque. Force One has a ARAI claimed fuel economy of 11.6kmpl.
The 5-speed gearbox also comes from Mercedes-Benz and Force has roped in Amitabh Bachan as the brand ambassador. Looks wise, the Force One has an old conventional design but certainly demands road presence. It is huge in all respects and we believe the interiors will benefit from this. It does have goodies like cruise control and driver information display and the company says that other features like 4×4, ABS and air-bags will follow a few months down the line. The suspension has been tuned by Lotus Engineering, the same company responsible for a few others cars in India too.
At first glance, the One does look decent for the price tag, however, we will reserve our judgement till we get to feel this new SUV from the Force stable first hand..
