BMW aims to sell 50 super bikes by end of year
BMW, which launched its bikes in January this year in India, aims to sell 50 bikes by this year end. The company has already sold 30 bikes so far in the year. To push up sales, the company also plans to launch bikes below 1,000 cc.
BMW, through its two-wheeler venture BMW Motorrad, sells bike models like R1200R, S1000RR, R1200GS, K1300, K1600GTL and HP2 in the Indian market. The company sells its products at two outlets in Delhi and Mumbai. Two dealers Deutsche Motoren and Navnit Motors import bikes of BMW in India.
“All our models have a good demand…but our two models — S1000 RR and R1200 GS — are witnessing a greater demand. We have six models and all bikes are above 1,000 cc and in the price range Rs 18-25-lakh,” informed Sharad Kachalia, Managing Director, Navnit Motors.
