India's leading car maker Maruti Suzuki has launched a limited edition of Swift. The car named “Swift One Million Edition” will be sold in a specially created Goldsmith Black color. The company is offering only 1000 units of the car for buyers. The car has been priced at Rs. 4 , 83 , 079 (ex-showroom , New Delhi). The car has been launched to celebrate Maruti's landmark of selling one million cars a year.
Swift One Million Edition comes with features like splendid graphics , special integrated stereo with USB and speakers , luxurious leather seats and cushions. “It is indeed a moment of pride for us. Swift One Million Edition is our gesture to show gratitude to our customers who have strongly supported us in our journey to reach milestone of one million sales in one year , ” said Mayank Pareek , Managing Executive Officer (Marketing and Sales) , Maruti Suzuki.
Car maker Honda Siel Cars India has launched a new version of its luxury compact car Jazz. The version named Jazz X is priced at Rs 7.53 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Honda has launched the new car with the hope of raising the sales volume of the car. The company was able to sell just 514 units in July , 2010 , compared to 1 , 037 units sold in the same month in 2009. Jazz X is equipped with new sporty exteriors , enhanced interiors and new features like alloy wheels. The car also has an audio system equipped with a USB port.
Luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz India has launched its new car E 200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY in India. The car marks the debut of CGI technology in the E-Class range. The technology along with BlueEFFICIENCY measures makes for optimized efficiency and performance.
Mercedes E 200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY has been aggressively priced at Rs. 39.5 (Ex-showroom Delhi). “E-Class has been an all round success internationally; in India too it is the most popular luxury car in the country. Maruti Suzuki has unveiled its flagship CNG engine technology , 'intelligent-Gas Port Injection' or i-GPI on five models. The models with the technology include SX4 , Eeco , WagonR , Estilo and Alto. The CNG vehicles were unveiled by Jairam Ramesh , Minister of State (Independent Charge) , Environment and Forests. Now Maruti has its CNG footprint spread across entry level cars , compact cars , sedans and MPV segments.

We are confident customers would value our i-GPI technology that is safe , reliable , clean , responsive and environment friendly. Auto major Volkswagen has launched its entry-level premium sedan Vento in India. The much awaited car has been introduced in petrol and diesel variants and is priced between Rs. 6.99 lakh and Rs. 9.23 lakh. The car will be offered for sale from September 6.
The petrol variant of Vento is equipped with a 1.6 litre engine with an output of 105PS. The car has a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gear box. It offers fuel efficiency of 15.83 km per litre and 14.4 km per litre respectively. The diesel variant of the car has 1.6 litre engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It gives output of 105PS and has a fuel efficiency of 20.54 km per litre.
