Maruti Ritz fast catching up with top selling model Swift

From the release of the novel model Ritz by Maruti Suzuki’s its sales went up to high level.

With the sales count from the initial couple of months , the novel Ritz has reached 8 , 000 units for a month.  Compared to the release of Swift in the year 2005 the count is less.

In the premium small car market , Ritz will increase its market share if continues with the same count with that of Swift.

Mr Shashank Srivastava , Chief General Manger , Maruti Suzuki India Ltd said that the in the month of May the company has traded 8 , 565 units and it is anticipating the same in the month of June.

Further the sales of the Swift are 8 , 500 units in the month of May and in the previous year the sales of Swift is about 1.10 lakh units. And the average is about 9 , 000 units in a month.

Mr Srivastava said that the company not yet observed the impact of Ritz either on Swift or even Wagon-R and the company is going with similar count that was made previously on these models.

In the previous year the sales of Wagon R were about 11 , 000 units , totaling it to 1.35 lakh units for the year. The on-road price of Wagon-R is in sort of Rs 3.39 lakh to Rs 3.86 lakh and for the Swift it is in the range of Rs 4.28 lakh to Rs 5.61 lakh (Delhi).

Maruti is capable of releasing competing models , hitherto grow its united share of these models , say industry viewers.

Mr Mahantesh Sabarad , auto analyst from Centrum Broking said that the count was better at the starting stage. However the competition moved to high level in the segment with the release of Jazz , Grande Punto and existing models like Swift and i-20.
