Honda Plans New Small Car for India

In the previous month of two week sales the Tata Motors has got over 200 , 000 bookings for its Nano subcompact car. Currently Honda has decided to go into the ultra-small-car market with a novel car built particularly for India , says the Economic Times reports.

The novel car would slot below the Jazz in price and size , and in a period of three year it will be set up , according to the report. Adding with India as the prime market it would be the initial model from Honda to be developed. It is expecting to compete Maruti-Suzuki’s Swift and Hyundai Getz which are the chief in the marketplace.

Currently in India the demand for petite cars are awfully high. To cope up with the requirement Maruti-Suzuki , the country’s leading auto producer has decided to spread out production in the coming two years. As of now the company produces more than 900 , 000 small cars yearly. The top level companies like Fiat , Hyundai , Volkswagen and Ford also have petite cars planned for launch in India according to business standards.

Further in the month of June Honda has decided to begin selling the Jazz in India with 4-cylinder gas engine developed particularly for the Indian market. Also with around 90 horsepower the 1.2-liter i-VTEC power plant will made known in the stage.

The price of Jazz is about $14 , 000 in India it is extremely costly automobile. Adding , the novel petite car will be about $9 , 000.
