Fiat's Linea to cost Rs 6.20-8 lakh

Fiat India is expected to price its mid-sized Linea sedan at Rs 6.20-8 lakh for the petrol version and Rs 7.30- 9 lakh  for the diesel variant. The C segment sedan will be powered by a 1.3 litre diesel engine and 1.4 litre petrol engine. Fiat India which currently retails the Palio , started production of the Linea at its Tata Motors-Fiat facility at Ranjangaon in November 2008.

The company has despatched cars to all its dealers across the country and will start selling the car from this month and the company which expects to sell 2 , 500 units in the first few months , has an installed capacity of two lakh cars and three lakh power trains annually.
