Toyota to launch small cars

Japanese car major Toyota has announced that they plan to launch a four compact
model cars for the Indian market.The good thing is that the company might pick
India for the production of these cars.“We are thinking of several countries but
maybe first production (unit will be) here , ”Toyota chairman Fujio Cho said in a
statement on the sidelines of an Indo-Japan business conference: These cars will
be powered by 1.1 liter and 1.3 liter engines and the first One is likely to be
a petrol sedan with a 1.3 litre engine , it would compete in the segment
consisting of Suzuki DZire , Ford Fiesta and Hyundai. The hatchback model which
is also on the pipeline will take on Hyundai Getz and Suzuki Swift
