Bajaj auto sells 500,000 units of Discover DTS-Si in 225 days

Two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto has sold a record 500 , 000 units of its 100cc segment bike Discover DTS-Si within 225 days of its launch. The bike was launched in July 2009.

To meet the huge demand Bajaj Auto has increased the production capacity of the bike from current 75 , 000 units to 1 lakh units per month. “We have been overwhelmed with the response. In fact we were unable to meet the demand in February and there was a stock-out situation in some dealerships. The twin successes of the 100cc Discover DTS-Si and also the recently launched Pulsar 135 LS has boosted our market share to 27.3 % in February 2010.” said S. Sridhar , CEO-two-wheeler , Bajaj Auto.
