Audi working on Q8, expected to arrive in 2014.

The German’s automobile manufacturer Audi’s portfolio has reached the saturation point and now, the company is exploring the unused names from the A, Q, S and R series to expand the company’s profile. One of the upcoming and most anticipated model to be rolled out from the Audi factory is the Q8 and recently, the car has been spotted as test mule, sometimes with the camouflage and sometimes with the Q7 body.

The upcoming Q8 will be built around the company’s newly developed MLB platform with 60 per cent steel and 40 per cent alloy materials like aluminum.

The upcoming Q8 might look like this

Powering the bigger Q8 will be the same engine options; V8 and V6 which are currently bolted in the Q7, Audi is also developing a four-cylinder engine for the base model of the car.

Audi is also believed to be working on their flagship SUV, the Q7, which might get technological advantage from the upcoming Q8 and might become lighter. After the Q8, the company might work to make the other Q-series vehicles like the Q2, Q4 and Q6 alive. Stay posted till we bring some more news for you!
