Volvo is a Swedish auto maker based in Gothenburg. The word Volvo means "I roll" in Latin. The company came up with its first car in 1927. Ford bought the controlling rights for Volvo in 1999. The company came to the Indian market and launched its offerings S80 and XC90. Volvo is gaining market share in the emerging markets like China, India and Russia.
