Editorial Test Drive Review of the New Tata Venture

Launched in the Indian market in Jan 2011, the Venture is basically the country’s first diesel micro-van. The vehicle was eventually rolled out in phases across the country and within a few months, it was made available across all dealers – this also helped in bumping up its sales figures which stood at a decent 750 units in September 2011. Tata aims to provide luxury for a big family at affordable prices along with space and luggage for upto eight passengers. The price tag is affordable, standard features on top end model is impressive and it is powered by an efficient and robust 1.4-litre diesel engine. However, will you be willing to shell out over Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom) for this little van on four wheels is the big question. Read on to know what we think about the Venture after driving it in and around Mumbai for a whole day.

Hi All, I seriously suggest not to buy this vehicle. It may look attractive and given a double figure mileage and looks.
even the interior is good compared to Innova and xylo. But the problem is with the engine, I got a new one last summer
