Pros: Space. Will put Cclass & 5 series to shame. Numerous useful trinklets
Cons: Mistaken as overgrown Octavia. No DSG transmission. Poor quality original tyres. Lacks pedigree
Description: Humongous space. Even with front seats all the way to the back, there is enough space for a 6 footer to sit behind comfortably. Numerous trinklets like umbrella in the rear seat door handle, light on opening mirror in the sun visor, hooks in the trunk to hold bags to prevent spillage, etc. Delay when auto gear down, but once gear downs its just takes off. 2 of the original tyres had side bulges which was replaced. Maintainability negligible compared to the Merc. But lacks pedigree as there is a difference when I get down at a function in the Superb and C-class ! Overall its a seriously value for money car.

Pros: LOOKS GOOD. REST IS ALL DECEPTIVE
Cons: SERVICE, BUILD QUALITY, STAFF AT JAI AND NAWAB AUTO IN DELHI NCR
Description: Skoda Superb seemed the best in its class but the truth is its the worst in its class. A car is complete with an excellent service back up. Let me give you some insight, I bought Superb is July 2010 after convincing my dad that it is better than camry and accord. From July 2010 to August 2012 my car has been in workshop and in broken state for about 4 months. So technically i have been able to even use my car because of the pathetic service. I have 2 fortunner, one accord and one superb. all of them are outstanding in service and quality, except superb. Superb hands down is the worst car i have ever purchased. Once i had a TATA indica too which was very bad quality wise but there service was far better than SKODA.

Skoda Superb is Awesome Car to Drive

Description: As is often the case with big cars, we think the Skoda Superb estate looks better than the hatchback. Everything behind the back doors is new, and the simple tailgate design, subtle rear spoiler and shark-fin aerial give the Superb the elegant looks Skoda was after. The Skoda Superb estate scores maximum points here. Its 633-litre boot makes a Mondeo Estate’s 542 litres seem small. Fold the rear seats down and spaced is upped to 1,865 litres. The boot is light to open and close, while the loading lip is low and wide. There’s also minimal wheelarch intrusion into the load space. It doesn’t feel as big as you’d expect from the driver’s seat, its well-balanced and composed chassis shrugs off all roads and conditions with ease. Read full review

Description: QUALITY & RELIABILITY: You can't fault Skoda's build quality, after all it has learnt from its master - Volkswagen. It is unlikely the Superb will suffer any reliability issues and the standard of finish in the interior is excellent. PERFORMANCE: On the whole as there's a decent engine line up. The 1.8 TSI 160bhp petrol feels eager to please and does so, propelling the Superb from 0-62mph in a not-too-shabby 8.6 seconds. The 2.0-litre TDI is also sprightly with 170bhp, whilst the powerful 3.6-litre V6 with 260bhp tops the range reaching 0-62mph in just 6.6 seconds - a record for a Skoda production car. Description: Engine/Performance Superb buyers get plenty of choice under the bonnet. Petrol fans can pick 123bhp 1.4-litre and 158bhp 1.8-litre versions of the firm’s punchy and economical turbocharged TSI units. Range-topping models are available with a 256bhp 2.6-litre V6 that will scorch from zero to 62mph in 6.5 seconds. Buyers more concerned with performance at the pumps can plump for the refined and torquey 2.0-litre TDI diesel in 138bhp or 168bhp forms. There’s also a 103bhp 1.9-litre oil-burner in the ultra economical Greenline model. Two six-speed gearbox options are available throughout the range – a traditional manual and swift-shifting DSG Driving experience Given its imposing size, the Skoda is surprisingly agile on the move. Well-weighted steering and good body control make it extremely capable on twisting back roads. Buyers wanting even more grip can specify the optional four-wheel drive transmission, which is standard on the range-topping 3.6-litre V6 car. Even more impressive is the car’s comfort and refinement. The supple suspension manages to smooth out the worst road surfaces, while wind and engine noise are kept to a minimum. Ownership costs Despite its generous standard kit and large size, the Superb actually undercuts its major rivals on price. Better still are the strong residuals, with diesel-engined versions holding around 44 percent of their value. Buyers on a budget should avoid the 3.6-litre V6, which will return just 28mpg and produces 235g/km of CO2, putting it in the top VED tax band. Go for the Greenline and you should be rewarded with a 55.4mpg performance at the pumps. Safety/Environment: There’s no doubting the Skoda’s strength, as a five-star EuroNCAP rating proves. All versions get ESP, seven airbags and ISOFIX seats. You can also splash extra cash on adaptive headlamps and tyre pressure monitoring. The eco-friendly Greenline emits 135g/km of CO2 and will return over 55mpg. But we’d recommend the smoother, more powerful 2.0-litre TDI as it produces only an extra 20g/km and delivers nearly 50mpg.
