Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) started as Mahindra & Mohammed in 1945. Initially the company traded steel with suppliers in England and USA. Later it began its operations by assembling CKD jeeps. After obtaining license first from Kaiser Jeep and later from American Motors (AMC), M&M started manufacturing jeeps in India. Later the company launched UVs and SUVs like Armada and Bolero.
