Hyundai has transformed their Verna into its latest iterant the Verna Fluidic. It is the latest and improved upgrade over the old Verna and is one of the best looking cars in the premium class mid-size sedan segment and a feature packed car in the market today.Hyundai Verna Fluidic is a fantastic looking car owing to its flowing body lines and sharp looking headlamps which give the new Hyundai Verna Fluidic quite a personality. The design element of the new Verna is very contemporary or ‘fluidic’ and Hyundai refers to this as their flowing design theme. It has sporty looking fog lamps on its huge bumper. Hyundai Verna Fluidic has very comfortable seats with leather upholstery and they provide amazing comfort to the driver and passenger by giving great back and under thigh support.

Verna Fluidic has well made interiors with dual tone dashboard with high quality plastic with anti-slip feel to its surface. It sports a functional instrument cluster on the dash which looks quite modern and has MID which shows external temperature, instant FE etc. Verna Fluidic also features integrated stereo music system which produces a high quality sound. It also features automatic electronic climate control system with 12 adjustments, height adjustable driver seat, 60:40 split folding rear seats and more. Verna Fluidic brings ample storage space inside the car. It has a cooled glove box and comes with a boot space of 465 liters. The Verna has four engine options, two diesel and petrol. The 1.4 liter diesel Verna Fluidic develops 89 BHP at 4000 RPM and 220 NM of torque from 1750 RPM and it is mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox. The 1.6 liter diesel Verna Fluidic develops 126 BHP at 4000 RPM and max torque of 259 NM from 1900 RPM and it comes with a 6 speed manual gearbox and 4-speed automatic with triptonic function.

The 1.4 liter engine develops a maximum power of 105 BHP at 6300 and maximum of 135 NM of torque at 5000 RPM and comes with a 5 speed gearbox, the 1.6 liter VTVT four cylinder petrol engine which develops 110 BHP of maximum power . The mileage figures are 23.5 kmpl for 1.4 L diesel 22.32 kmpl for 1.6 L diesel Verna 1.6 Petrol 17.01 kmpl, 1.4 liter engine is 17.43 kmpl. Hyundai Verna Fluidic has a softly tuned suspension setup as seen with the previous generation Verna and it allows the car to glide over bumps and bad roads and maintain passenger comfort without bottoming out. Hyundai Verna Front design	The latest Verna looks nothing like its predecessor and that’s a good thing. Out go the mundane lines of the older car and in comes a fresh, bold new look thanks to Hyundai’s new ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ design language. Fluidic Sculpture is Hyundai-speak for a more dynamic design. A ‘V’ on the bonnet that originates just above the hexagonal Hyundai grille adds much muscle to the front. But what really catches your eye is the ‘L’-shaped fog lights that sit neatly recessed low down in the front bumper
Hyundai Verna Rear design	Well executed creases at the rear and spread-out tail-lights further embellish the Verna’s style quotient. And the twin tailpipes will definitely be a hit with enthusiasts.
Hyundai Verna Side profile	side-on, the Verna looks fantastic, credit for which goes to its swooping character line that rises from the front bumper, slashes past both door handles and extends right till the tail-light. Hyundai Verna Handling Braking & Safety

The soft suspension provides adequate stability to the car at high speeds on the highways although it does have minimal amount of body roll. Fluidic has a responsive steering unit provides excellent feedback to the driver while negotiating hard corners it is quite light to use within the city. Verna also features ABS and EBD which further enhance its braking and help stop the car quickly from speed.

Hyundai Verna Airbags

Hyundai Verna Handling	Low speed ride is good with the softly set-up suspension ably absorbing all but the largest potholes. There is, however, a fair amount of vertical movement on the petrol Verna especially at the rear, this bobbing only amplifying with speed. The diesel’s stiffer front springs (to carry the additional weight of the engine) do their bit in delivering a flatter high speed ride. The added weight up front also allows the steering to weight up better.
Hyundai Verna Braking performance	The Verna comes with disc brakes all around and the top-end model we tested is equipped with ABS and EBD as well. Sadly, the brake pedal is devoid of much feel in the crucial first few centimeters of travel. Also, in panic stops, the soft rear struggles to hold its line and threatens to step out. This can get unnerving if you are not used to it.
Hyundai Verna Safety features	Verna has quite a lot of safety features in the car it has ABS, EBD, Parking camera dual airbags etc inside the car.
Hyundai Verna ABS	There is ABS in the Verna.
Hyundai Verna Traction control	There is no Traction control in the car but it does have EBD in it.

The Verna has four engine options, two diesel and petrol. ARAI has rated the diesel Verna to deliver a fuel efficiency of 23.5 kmpl for 1.4 L diesel Verna and 22.32 kmpl for 1.6 L diesel Verna respectively. In petrol the 1.6 liter VTVT four cylinder petrol engine which develops 110 BHP of maximum power and it has been certified by ARAI to deliver and excellent fuel efficiency of 17.01 kmpl.
