Honda Brio Diesel Handling Braking & Safety

Drive the Brio fast around hills or corners and it responds back pretty nicely. It isn’t a very tall car and hence the centre of gravity is low. This helps but on the other hand, Honda has settled for MRF tyres as opposed to the Michelins we are used to seeing on the Jazz. These are nice but push the car into corners at high speeds and all the drama starts! At high speeds on the highways, the light steering does loose some of its feel but never does it becomes vague enough to upset the driver at all. The top end Brio comes with ABS which is pretty much for the norm these days. It also wears 175mm with as aspect ratio of 65 – again something that is common these days among the hatchbacks.

Honda Brio Diesel Comfort & Suspension

The Brio is essentially more of a city car and no wonder, it steers its way through traffic superbly. For starters, the visibility from the driver’s seat is very good. The light steering and clutch add to the city appeal and the Brio turns out to be a very easy to pilot car. As is the case with the bigger Jazz and City, the Brio also absorbs most undulations with ease without really affecting the occupants in the process. The suspension noise is also well subdued though the slightly soft suspension did play spoil sport at one occasion when we managed to touch its underbelly with a sharp speed breaker. Worthy of a mention is the Brio’s tight turning radius of just 4.5 meters!
