Head-quartered in Dearborn, Michigan, Ford is the world's third largest automobile company after Toyota and General Motors. Founded by Henry Ford in 1903, the company owns several globally respected brands like Lincon, Mercury, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo. Ford entered the Indian market in 1998 with Ford Escort and later launched Ikon in 2001. The company has formidable brands like Mondeo, Fusion, Fiesta and the Endeavour in the current line up and is trying to establish itself in the growing Indian automobile market.
