Ford Classic comes in a new beige interior trim which looks great and feels better than its older versions. The car feels spacious and there is plenty of leg and head room for passengers. The seats are comfortable and offer excellent back and thigh support. The driver seat is height and tilt adjustable. Ford Classic has other features which enhance driving experience such as Automatic Climate Control air conditioning, 6 CH changer audio system with good speakers, remote boot release, power windows, leather upholstery in certain variants. It has small storage areas inside while the boot has a total luggage carrying capacity of 430 liters.
It comes with a boot space of 430 litres in all the models of both petrol and diesel variants.
All the models in both diesel and petrol come with digital speedometer for your convenience.
The finish of gear lever is smooth. Leather gear knob is available in all models of both variants.
Instead of front and rear cup holders, bottle holders are present in all models of both petrol and diesel variants.
Ford Classic continues the legacy of the old Fiesta with a new name. It is an excellent combination of style and aggression owing to its sporty design. It has muscular styling, stylish grille with the Ford logo, clear lens headlamps and fog lamps integrated into the body colored bumpers with large air dam and overall an aggressive front end design. 15 inch alloy wheels and flared wheel arches add to the sporty looks of the Ford Classic. It has body colored OVRMs now while looks great and in-line with the rest of the car’s design. The build quality is excellent and so is the fit, finish and paint quality.
The front is where Ford has put in brains well and it looks inspiring. Body coloured radiator grille in front gives stylish looks. The Ford logo in centre is quite appealing. The roof endorses an antenna in the front giving the sedan its required aerodynamics. The muscular bonnet effortlessly mixes brawn with beauty.
The rear design of the car is elegant with tail lamps stretching from the sides. The car looks compact from rear and body colored rear tailgate adds to beauty. The body colored tail gate handle is present in all the variants of Classic.
The curvier side profile is eye-catching. The sporty wheel arches with recessed door handles add to its beauty and chrome finished meaty side panels gives it an overall muscular look.
Ground clearance is 168 mm for both the variants of Ford Classic.
Ford Classic is known for its peppy and powerful petrol engine although it is available in two engine variants. The petrol engine variant is available in a 1.6 liter Duratec engine which produces 100 BHP. The diesel engine variant is a 1.4 liter Duratorq engine which produces 68 BHP at 4000 RPM and plenty of torque. It has excellent bottom end power and is easy to drive in the city and on the highways.

The Classic petrol goes 0-100km in 11.87 seconds whereas Classic diesel goes 0-100km in 16.83 seconds.
The top speed is 185 Kmph in petrol variants of Ford Classic and in diesel variants it is 170 Kmph.
In-gear acceleration for Classic Petrol for 40-80kmph in 4th gear is 11.07 seconds whereas in-gear acceleration for Classic diesel for 40-80kmph in 4th gear is 10.73 seconds.
5-speed manual gearbox is used in all models of both petrol and diesel variants of Classic plus an additional 6-speed automatic dual clutch gearbox in petrol variant.
Both the diesel and petrol Classic are economical. But the diesel Ford Classic has a great efficiency of 20 kmpl, the petrol too manages 13 kmpl which is a respectable figure nonetheless.

The fuel tank capacity is of 45 litres in both petrol and diesel variants that has a range of 770 Kms in 1.4-litre diesel variant and 634 in 1.6 Duratec.
Body roll is nearly negligible as this car feels at home around corners. The steering unit offers very good feedback and is well weighted at low and high speeds and comfortable to use at all times. Ford Classic also comes with ABS + EBD and good brakes to help you slow it down from higher speed easily.
Handling Braking & Safety Details
Classic scores good in terms of ride and handling and assures you to give a comfortable ride on Indian roads. It scores 4 stars in handling in both petrol and diesel variant.
The front ventilated disc and self adjusted rear drum brakes perform their job efficiently and score 4 stars in terms of braking in both petrol and diesel variant.
Ford Classic comes with ABS, Dual airbags and front seat belts with load limiters. These safety features are available in only top model of both petrol and diesel variant only.
The ABS along with EBD is available in all models of both petrol and diesel variant.
Traction Control is not available in any model for both petrol and diesel variant.
It offers a comfortable drive and has very good ride quality. It absorbs all the bad bumps and undulations of the road as it has a very well setup suspension. It offers a composed and stable ride on the highways.
Comfort & Suspension Details
In term of Comfort it scores 4 and half stars. Classic is a sedan and is a good choice for city drivability. The Ford Classic has been engineered ergonomically and gives passenger a comfortable driving experience.
The independent McPherson struts with lower L-arm is used in front suspension in all models of both diesel and petrol variant.
The semi-independent twist beam type suspension with low package height coil spring and twin tube dampers is used in rear suspension in all models of both petrol and diesel variants.
